TOKO CLUB Membership Terms and Conditions

Article 1 Purpose

The "TOKO CLUB" regulations were created to allow TOKO CLUB to provide various services to its members and to work together with its members to develop the club.

Article 2 Membership

  1. A member is a customer who has accepted the TOKO CLUB Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms and Conditions"), applied to Toko Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "our company") for membership in "TOKO CLUB" (hereinafter referred to as "Club"), and after our company has accepted the application, has completed the registration of the required information on the designated page as part of the prescribed registration procedure.
  2. Membership is only available to those who meet all of the following conditions:
    1. Junior high school students and above (elementary school students and below cannot join)
    2. Those who have an address and reside in Japan

Article 3 Membership Card

There are two types of membership cards: the TOKO CLUB Mobile Card (which uses a barcode displayed or saved on a smartphone or tablet; hereafter referred to as the "Mobile Card") and the Offline Membership Card.

  1. The mobile card can be displayed and used as a membership card in the following way: If you have registered a TOKO ONLINE GALLERY (hereinafter referred to as the official online shop) account or have applied for new membership through the official online shop, you can display or save the barcode located on the member page in the official online shop and use it.
  2. The mobile card can be used on a smartphone or tablet device.
  3. Mobile cards cannot be used on mobile phones.
  4. If the Member changes their smartphone or tablet due to a model change or other reason, they will be responsible for obtaining a new mobile card.
  5. Members are responsible for managing their mobile cards.
  6. The mobile card may only be used by the cardholder and cannot be transferred or lent to anyone other than the cardholder.

Article 4: Membership Fees and Annual Fees

The club has no joining or annual fees.

Article 5 Use of Membership Card

  1. When shopping at our TOKO CLUB retailers, members must present their membership card before making payment. Members can only use the benefits set forth in Article 6 when they present their membership card. When shopping at our official online store, members can use the benefits set forth in Article 6 by logging in to the official online store with their registered email address.
  2. Membership cards cannot be used if they are deemed to have been obtained through fraudulent means, or if they are forged, altered or fraudulently created.

Article 6 Membership Benefits

  1. Members can use the following point services:
    1. Regarding the awarding of TOKO CLUB points, when purchasing products from our company, TOKO CLUB points "toko toko" (hereinafter referred to as "Points") as set forth in the following paragraph will be awarded only if the following requirements are met. However, points will not be awarded on any day other than the day of purchase without a receipt, and points will not be awarded for purchases made before the date of enrollment.
      1. Participating stores: Our TOKO CLUB dealers and official online shop
      2. Payment methods: Cash, credit cards designated by our company, gift certificates handled by our company, and other payment methods handled by our company.
      3. Items not eligible: Repair fees, processing fees, shipping fees, and other products and services designated by our company. In addition, the amount equivalent to the points used in the purchase amount is also not eligible.
      4. Points cannot be transferred to a third party.
    2. Points are calculated based on the amount spent per purchase (excluding tax) at a rate set for each stage based on the number of points awarded annually. (Sale items are calculated at 1% regardless of stage. In addition, when various discounts such as campaigns are involved, the rate is a flat 3%.)

      Purchase history will be calculated based on the last day of December of the applicable year (excluding tax), and the corresponding stage classification will be applied for the year from January 1st onwards. If you shop at the official online store, the purchase date will be determined by your payment method.
      • For "Credit card payment," "Carrier payment," and "Bank transfer," the date of product shipment from our company.
      • In the case of cash on delivery, the date of shipment of the product from our company.
    3. Points are valid for one year (365 days) from the date of acquisition. Points will automatically become invalid after the expiration date.
      If you purchase from the official online store, the expiration date will be one year from the end of the month of the purchase date determined by your payment method.
    4. Using points
      1. Members can use their point balance at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen.
      2. Points can be used to purchase products at our TOKO CLUB dealers and our official online shop (excluding purchases of gift certificates, food and drink, and products designated by our company).
      3. Members cannot redeem points for cash under any circumstances.
      4. Points can only be used upon presentation of your membership card.
  2. By registering as a member, members can use various services that are planned and provided by our company and are exclusive to members.

Article 7 Changes to Registration Information

If there are any changes to the registered information, please promptly register the changes. We will not be liable for any damages incurred as a result of not registering the changes. Furthermore, even if the changes are registered, any transactions already made before the changes will be carried out based on the information before the changes were registered.

Article 8 Lost or Stolen Membership Card

  1. If your membership card is lost or stolen, please contact us immediately. We will not be held responsible for any damages incurred as a result of not contacting us.
  2. After receiving the above information, please follow the procedures specified by our company, and we will only reissue your membership card if approved by our company.
  3. Please note that we cannot reissue membership cards to customers who have not completed their membership registration.

Article 9: Processing of returned purchased products

  1. As a general rule, members must present their membership card when returning products purchased with their membership card.
  2. If you return a purchased item, the points awarded for that purchase will be deducted.
  3. If you use your points and then return them, resulting in a negative total, you may be required to pay in cash.

Article 10: Prohibition of holding multiple membership cards

  1. The same member cannot hold multiple cards or multiple barcodes.
  2. Points from multiple cards and barcodes cannot be combined, and annual purchase amounts from multiple cards and barcodes cannot be combined.

Article 11 Withdrawal

  1. Members may cancel their membership at any time by following the designated procedures. Please note that all accumulated points and member benefits at the time of cancellation will become invalid upon completion of the cancellation procedures.
  2. You cannot request to cancel your membership yourself. Please contact us and we will handle your request. Also, due to system limitations, backup data will be stored. It may take up to six months for your personal information to be completely deleted.

Article 12 Termination of Membership

Membership will be terminated in the following cases:

  1. If you violate these terms and conditions
  2. If the Company determines that there is a deterioration in the Member's credibility or other reasonable grounds that make it difficult to continue these Terms and Conditions.

Article 13 Collection, retention, use, provision and deposit of personal information

  1. In order to operate the club, we will collect and use the following information about individuals (hereinafter referred to as "personal information").
    1. Information about attributes such as name, gender, date of birth, address, telephone number, and email address stated on the member registration page or application form (if any changes occur to this information, this includes the changed information. The same applies below)
    2. Date of enrollment, membership card usage history (product name, date, store, points held, points record, etc.), and information on whether or not promotional materials can be sent
    3. Call records and inquiry history at the customer service desk
  2. We will use personal information for the following purposes:
    1. Sending printed advertising materials, emails, and business information such as telephone calls
    2. Our marketing activities (requests for questionnaires, etc.), product development
    3. Providing card functions and additional services
    4. Notification when an error is discovered in a purchase at a TOKO CLUB retailer or official online shop
    5. Notifications in the event of a defect in a product purchased at a TOKO CLUB retailer or official online shop (such as a recall)
  3. To the extent deemed appropriate by our company, we will provide and jointly use the personal information set out in paragraphs 1.1 and 2.2 of this Article to companies entrusted with the operation of our stores for the following purposes.
    1. Sending printed advertising materials, emails, and business information such as telephone calls
    2. Marketing activities (requests for questionnaires, etc.)
    3. Provision of additional services
  4. When we outsource our business (computer-related work, etc.) to a third party, we will take measures to protect personal information and then entrust it to the outsourced company to the extent necessary for the performance of the business.

Article 14 Provision of personal information to public institutions

Members agree to provide personal information to public institutions when the Company is requested to provide such information by public institutions pursuant to various laws and regulations, or when such provision is necessary for similar public interests.

Article 15 Request to discontinue sending promotional materials and other business information

Members may request the Company to cease sending business information such as printed advertising materials and e-mails as stipulated in Article 13, paragraphs 2(1) and 3(1). Requests must be addressed to the Company.

Article 16 Disclosure, correction, and deletion of registered information

  1. Members may request that the Company disclose their own registration information.
  2. If a disclosure request reveals that the registered information is inaccurate or incorrect, we will promptly correct or delete the information we hold.
  3. Members shall notify the Company of any requests for disclosure, correction, deletion, etc. of registered information.
  4. If a member requests the disclosure, correction, deletion, etc. of registered information, we will respond within a reasonable period of time after confirming that the request is made by the member himself/herself.
  5. If a member's registered information, such as address, telephone number, or email address, has already been transferred to a holder other than the member, we may change or delete the registered information upon receiving a request from the holder to stop various services (mailings, email distribution services, etc.).

Article 17 If you do not agree to these terms of use

Our company may refuse membership if a customer does not wish to fill in the required information when joining or if the customer does not agree to the handling of personal information as stipulated in these Terms and Conditions. Furthermore, if a member expresses their intention to not agree to the handling of personal information as stipulated in these Terms and Conditions, we may process the member's withdrawal. Furthermore, even if a member requests to stop receiving business information such as printed promotional materials as stipulated in Article 13, we will not refuse membership or process the member's withdrawal for this reason.

Article 18 Changes to the Service

  1. The Company may change these Terms and Conditions, the content of the Service, or the conditions for providing the Service (including, but not limited to, changing the point award rate or the method of using points, suspending point awarding, or abolishing the point service) without prior notice to Members, and may also suspend or terminate the Service.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for any disadvantage or damage caused to members as a result of the changes in the preceding paragraph.

Article 19 Use of the Official Online Shop

  1. When a Member begins using the Official Online Shop, the "Official Online Shop Terms of Use" shall apply in addition to these Terms.

Article 20 Benefit Restrictions for Offline Members

  1. Offline membership can only be applied for at Touko stores.
  2. The following benefits are not available to offline members:
    1. Use points at the official online shop
    2. Newsletter subscription
    3. Participation in online events held on the website for members only
