Hidenori Nagumo

I aim to create designs that are as simple as possible. The clay is kept as close to its natural state as possible, and the glaze is made from natural ingredients—derived from the iron in the clay and in the ash. I hope you will enjoy using my pottery for many years to come.

Biography

1973 | Born in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture
1998 | Graduated from Waseda University's Department of Sociology
1998 | Started ceramics in Mashiko.
2002 | Built a kiln in Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture
2009 | Moved to Nasukarasuyama City, Tochigi Prefecture
2021 | Grand Prize Winner at the 35th Tochigi Prefectural Art Exhibition
