Naoko Otsuka

My aim is to create tableware that gently complements daily life by using Mashiko clay and traditional glazes. I create tableware, vases, accessories, and more, mainly with the warm white Nuka glaze. I hope you will feel the warmth of my work when you look at it and hold it in your hands.

Biography

1981 | Born in Itako City, Ibaraki Prefecture
2000 | Studied ceramics at the Department of Art and Design, Faculty of Japanese Culture, Meisei University
2000 |Received the Excellence Award at the Graduation Exhibition
After graduating, she studied under Kenichi Otsuka
Currently making pottery in Mashiko
