Born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture
1991 | After graduating from the Painting Department of Tama Art University, she worked as a jewelry designer at a company for two years.
1993 | Entered the Department of Design at Toyama Glass Art Institute
1996 | Graduated from the Institute’s graduate program
1996 | Held her first solo exhibition at Gallery Reg Matsunami in Nagoya: “When the sea was full of fish with mysterious names and there wasn’t much to do every day”
1996 | Selected for the Contemporary Glass Beauty Exhibition in Satsuma
1997 | Built a glass melting furnace in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture, and named it Studio Calder after sculptor Alexander Calder
1999 | Selected for the International Crafts Competition Kanazawa
1999 | Held the solo exhibition “Kinder Garden” at Gallery Reg Matsunami (Nagoya)
2001 | Established a gallery within her workshop.
Since then, she has held three to four seasonal exhibitions each year.
